Thinking about the ideal layout for me for a TerraSlate Planner... and it entails managing the scarcity of time.
The time blocks reflect how I will allocate my time for each hour of the day.
The idea of filling your jar with the big rocks (your priorities) first is the key concept behind this idea. With this tool, you can build your own schedule with the 'big rocks' that matter most.
It facilitates the process of planning a productive day - one where I make progress on my VIP&Ps (Very Important People & Projects).

Taking it one step further...
If you miss a class that you've signed up for a Spark, they charge you a $15 'no-show' fee. It's necessary because people sign up for classes who don't show up take spots from people who do! Can you imagine what would happen if you had to pay a fee for missing commitments to yourself?
