This is a mac app that supports markdown! As such, I'm exploring using it to manage my day-to-day. The pros/cons are the structure, and I'm really comparing it NoteBooks - which I used to love but have put on the hold until the developer fixes the constant sync issue (which he has told me will be in the next update).

Ctrl + ⌘ + ↑↓ = Move lines up or down - very helpful in prioritizing your littleDeadlines.
I prefer this open source model of keeping a 'living change log' of everything I am doing. Using the txt combine The issue with Google Docs has always been offline access to my calendar.

NEW: More event and reminder fields added -> URL, notes, location, invitee list and 2. alert. Now you can see where your meeting is or check for video call links directly inside NotePlan by clicking on the event! Additionally, the notes field supports markdown!

NEW: Smart Filter. Create your own views specific to your workflow. Search for all open tasks in your calendar and/or notes and save the search as you need it (like only for next week, month, past, future, upcoming, overdue, project specific...).

FIXED: Tapping on links was not working at all or too responsive in some cases. Removed links from @done tags.

NEW: Tag autocompletion and note title link autocompletion. Start typing out a hashtag "#... " and a box with suggestions from your existing list will popup! This way you don't have to remember or mistype your tags anymore. Especially when you want to link note titles, type "[[... " and pick a title from all your notes.
NEW: Add button to create note links to the toolbar.
FIXED: Collapsing nested tags didn't collapse them properly when closing one parent tag.
FIXED: Tapping on a date to-do in your daily note didn't bring you to the original non-calendar note.
