We are living into future, and the present becomes our past. Now is gone the moment it arrives. So when you ask 'What are you doing right now,' I'm asking what is the past are you creating next?
I think this might make us consider the permanent ramifications of every decision, every word we write, every work we speak, and every action we take (or fail to take). You can't erase the past, it's written in permanent ink. we make with a little more seriousness. So what is at stake in every decision you make is your past! You can't change the past, you can only change the future you are living into.
If who you are being becomes your past, who are you now doesn't need to be who you've been all along. You can change if you are willing to.
"The very best way to predict the future is to create it." ~ Peter Drucker
The future is not the future without you in it.
You are living into your future's past. What will become of the untapped potential of your future self?
There are only two responses. You can be passive and not take action, or you can be active and respond to the prompts that life provides. Life is meant to be experienced, not observed. But an unobserved life leads to unintended consequences.
There are consequences for inaction.
We know that every action has a consequence, but we forget that inaction has consequences as well. Most of us seek to avoid conflict to justify our passiveness.
But resentment grows in the passive ones. If you see something, do something.
I recently got a chance to review my brothers event schedule for 2018. It has him visiting 18 different cities. Often only a week apart. It is tied to major events that the company he markets for wants a presence at.
I look forward to seeing how your future unfolds.
