Financial Literacy

Obtaining financial literacy early in life is key. It wasn't until I was 47 that I found out about Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.

Why is personal finances a taboo topic?

Parents who fail to educate their children on this topic are setting them up for failure.

Is it that they parents themselves don't understand the topic?

Financial shortfall?

Severity level:

This program might need to be called upon when the financial shit hits the fan, but hopefully sooner.

It is a sink or swim moment.

The boats have been burned. There's no bridge. The internet is down. I have to figure this shit out.

I didn't build a bridge, so I'll have to swim. But fear not - I got this. I'll simply do what needs to be done. No judgement you have to. One step at at time. The fact is, it's cram time - it's now or never. When my back is against the wall, I must act. I must be courageous.

Over 3000 quotes on courage on Goodreads

"It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what." (From To Kill a Mockingbird)

This is what always gets me moving in the direction you need to go.

Need to raise money? I've always been able to bootstrap. I can collect the income on deals now for work I'll start next week. Money shows up in when I pick up the phone and offer my services to clients looking for someone like me to help them. I've ignored them in the past. But I must get paid. I must reconcile my books to see who owes me money.

Breath. You got this.

It's a program I've run before. It's only temporary. But procrastination is no longer an option. Worse case scenario...? You were in sales and if you need to drum up business you know how.

BREATH.

Rule no. 1: You can't spend more than you earn.

Rule no 2: Define a stopping point Poorly define parameters in a project lead to scope creep. But even scope creed assumes you've defined the limit of the project.
