Elimination

The process of elimination: make space to find grace.

Eliminate to gravitate towards greater peace & joy in our life.

Instead of looking at what we can add to our lives, let's look at what we can remove.

Look with a more critical eye at the thoughts and actions, people and places, and the things you do that no longer serve you.

I was tipped off on this idea from a Matthew McConaughey video where we mentioned that his philosophy on success stems from a focus on who he wasn't. It's through the process of defining what we are not that leads to discovering who we truly are.

When are you your own worst enemy? When are you your own best friend? Consider that question when you seek out what ought to be eliminated in your life.

Red Dots

I started putting red dots on all the things that are no longer serving me. It's easier to identify than to purge. Everything with a red dot serves as a warning that it is on the chopping block.

I bought a beer. I put a red dot on the cup to remind me I didn't need the beer.

Green Dots

I put a green dot on the things that bring me joy and move me closer to where I want to be.
