Set aside an hour every week to dedicate to a RIG and you'll have put in 52 hours by the end of the year.
Ask: * Is this one of the highest-impact things I could do for my business? * Would waiting 6 months to do this negatively impact my business? * Would I be missing out on an opportunity if I waiting 6 months to try this?
When you answer no to any of these questions, postpone it for 6 months.
You need to know that when you work a traditional job, 40% of your salary goes to non-cash compensation (Benefits!) - Insurance, PTO, 401k, etc... When you work for yourself, are you bumping your rates up by 40% to cover this? If not, you're not going to have any PTO and unless you are on your spouses insurance, you have to be budget big time for health insurance which will likely be much more than if you worked for a large company (that can negotiate lower rates through increased buying power).
