AuthorDock Enhancements

Updates

Bilel,

Add is a simple menu item titled 'Updates' which displays the results of all updates across all projects (that a user has access to).

Here is the URL I pull up from my own shortcuts bar that shows all updates from all the projects I have access to:

https://login.authordock.com/activity?utf8=%E2%9C%93&show_issues=1&show_changesets=1&show_news=1&show_documents=1&show_files=1&show_wiki_edits=1&show_messages=1&show_time_entries=1&submit=Apply

So all you need to do is add a menu item 'Updates' that goes to that URL.

Let's also update the label on the page from 'feed' to 'updates'

Thanks, Brian

Bilel,

I wonder if you might be able to create a plugin for this task within AuthorDock for me?

I am referring to it as Keyword Hyper Search.

The links below serve as a hoplinks to the search results for the keyword 'Book Editing' at each major site:

Scribd is an invaluable resource for research, but you'll need to create an account first.

What I'd like to create is a way for my users to enter any keyword and have it return a simple clickable list to those six search results.

What you'll see if you look closely at the URLs is that there is only one variable that is updated in each URL, in this example it's book+editing.

Google:

https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tab=nw#hl=en&newwindow=1&q=book+editing&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

Slideshare:

http://www.slideshare.net/search/slideshow?searchfrom=header&q=book+editing

YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=book+editing

Vimeo:

https://vimeo.com/search?q=book+editing

This link searches the site Quora (from Google) since Quora doesn't have a built-in search option you can link to:

https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tab=nw#hl=en&newwindow=1&q="book+editing"+site%3Aquora.com&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

Scribd:

https://www.scribd.com/search?content_type=tops&page=1&query=book%20editing

If it can't be done in AuthorDock, is there a way to create a php/html page that would produce the results?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

~ Brian
