Workflow Management System (WfMS)

I had spent the greater part of 2019-2020 developing my own PIM (Personal Information Management) system/dashboard in PubWriter. My goal was to make my web browser start page my catalyst for miracles.

The source of all action begins with triggers. You can be intentional about what those triggers are to direct yourself toward where you want to go instead of being driven by circumstances outside your control.

The challenge I face (as many others I suspect) is the occupational hazard called the internet (and Amazon when I'm doing publishing). The internet can be an ever expanding rabbit hole. The deeper you go into any topic, the more you discover the 'less you know.' The web can quickly turn clarity into confusion.

Google is evidence that there are no new ideas, only ideas yet to be realized. You think you are the only with the thought/idea? Spending a little time googling it - and you'll like find someone who has shared a similar thought/idea.

Google can be used to validate our idea and confirm our implicit biases. Or it can be used to prove the counter argument is also true. In the end, Google does little more than confirm how little evidence really matters. Hve you heard about the slit

From Wikipedia:

A workflow management system (WfMS) is a software system for setting up, performing, and monitoring of a defined sequence of processes and tasks, with the broad goals of increasing productivity, reducing costs, becoming more agile, and improving information exchange within an organization. These systems may be process-centric or data-centric, and they may represent the workflow as graphical maps. The workflow management system may also include an extensible interface so that external software applications can be integrated and provide support for wide area workflows that provide faster response times and improved productivity.

It's all about enhancing our productivity (and ultimately, the productivity of our team). It's a problem worth solving.
