Possibility

Are we self-limited beings by only believing what we think is possible?

How much of your life has been defined by limiting what you want to what you thought was possible? Can you suspend disbelief long enough to create a plan to achieve it? What seems impossible at the start becomes more likely was we move towards it. Or we pivot, and a new possibility arises.

Recently it became clear to me that much of what I think I wanted out of life was not what I truly needed. But if all I truly need is peace, am I asking for something that is not possible?

Is peace possible?

It depends on how you define peace. If I define peace as being free from obligations to do anything other than what I want, then no. But if I define peace as being free from obligations to do anything other than what I need, than yes.

The story is yet to to be written...

The characters an author creates evolve into their own identity as the story develops. Their behavior is defined by the experiences they encounter and how they interpret those experiences. Authors themselves are surprised to discover what these characters want to do in the plot. Often the plot itself will take an unexpected detour due to the interaction of the characters, through their unique personalities, values, and personal motivations. Although the writer begins the story (acts as the prompt), it's the development of the characters themselves that make the story believable.
