I statements

I've learned some valuable lessons from the ManKind Project, one of the more significant being the power behind making 'I' statements.

I will attempt to write Wireframed in I statements. The purpose is to allow the reader to assimilate the words into their own program.

I am in you as you are in me.

I am a catalyst for miracles. I define miracles as a result nobody expected. In truth, there is no 'you' or 'I,' only we. We are taking this journey together and I will support you, and you will support me. This is because in truth, we are one. It's what we choose to believe that empowers us all.

The background of I statements

A core structure of MKP's men's circles that meet on regular basis entails in 'checking in' with the other men to share how you feel and what you are currently struggling with.

As we check in, we are reminded to use 'I' statements. It's common for new men to describe what is happening as something outside themselves. They feel that something out there is causing was is happening in here.

When you speak in terms of others, or the external world, you give up your power to something outside your control. Using 'I' statements reminds us that everything stems from within. Nothing is happening to us that we don't initiate from within.

An example

You're results stem from the choices you make. vs. I am the cause of results that stem from choices I make.

Notice the difference? One speaks to you, the other speaks from you.

Wireframed is a bit different in that it is, for the most part, written in I statements. I look forward to hearing feedback on whether or not you felt this to be beneficial or not.
