Recognizing Expansion

This began as a prompt from the Recognition Reiki Vision Card which are great ‘writing sparks!’

Last night I recognized that with the universe in a constant state of expansion, and the existence of other dimensions we cannot comprehend, that there are infinite possibilities to ever act.

It is incredibly powering to recognize this concept. That is that every event, every act, has an endless number of possible outcomes.

Are the outcomes within our control? No. It’s Karma. Every act produces an outcome. The outcome while influenced by our actions are not within our control. Therefore, self efficacy, which is defined as the ability to produce a desired outcome is only ever realized as our ability to influence a desired outcome.

Sometimes, the outcome we seeks happens. Sometimes it does, other times it doesn't. It's easy to get tricked into believing we control the outcome when things goes our way. However the gift in things not going as expected, is that we learn something new. I acknowledge that learning is process by which an unexpected outcome results. Therefore, self-efficacy is the practice of trial and error.

Errors are good, they are an indication that you have learned something new.

We have mistakingly lived most of our lives with the misunderstanding of errors and failures. Instead of criticizing those who fail, we should congratulate them.

When you can see criticism as simply someone else recognizing the error, you can thank them for helping you see that the unexpected outcome was another learning point.

We ought to thank our critics. For they are simply pointing out the payoff of an unexpected outcome - we get to learn something new.

We can even befriend our inner critic when we set our ego aside. The inner critic exists to point out where we failed and the error that should encourage us to try again.

Another reason I am such a proponent of doing 3 things every day that you resist, fear, or dislike is because it starts a valuable feedback loop. When you see the event you resist as an experiment, you see the truth. You will learn something new by producing an unexpected outcome.

There are no errors, only unexpected outcomes.

There are no failures, only unexpected outcomes.

Recognize that who you are is not defined by what you accomplish, but by what you overcome. (Unbreakable)

I love the morning miracle concept:

Never stop failing

Failing is an indication you are learning. As long as you are learning you are growing. As long as you are growing, you are not dying. We begin to die when we neglect the learning. Thus, unless we are failing on a regular basis, we are dying.

But what is death but one more failure? The ultimate failure? Says who?

The are no accidents, only unintended consequences.

If you knew the consequence of life is death, would you ever choose to live? Of course you would. You did. You are reading this so you are alive.

This begs the question. If we know what we are doing is going to likely shorten our time here, why do we do it? Do we want to die on our own terms?

When you accept the terms of your life, you will only die on your own terms.

I will leave on my own terms. That is the most dignified decision we can ever make. Or is it? Is it up to us or a power greater than ourselves? You know the answer. Your answer may be different than mine. But both answers are right. Or both answers are wrong. We can't fulfill our potential with any self-doubt.

Self doubt is the potentially the greatest flaw to fix. There's confidence, and then there's arrogance.

Arrogance is believing that we are superior to another.

Becoming limitless is the process of accepting the terms of engagement with life. It is not only accepting, but embracing the outcome, no matter what that outcome is.

Can you recognize when who you are being is aligned with your true nature?
